BEAMS 2014 is approaching and needs your help to reach its fullest potential!

But it can’t happen without your support!

Soon we will launch a CROWD FUNDING campaign through CHUFFED.ORG to raise funds for this year's festival.

Now in its 3rd year, the program for 2014 foresees an exceptional plethora of creative individuals from far and wide with a focus on the high caliber of artistic collectiveness to fashion a street party like no other, expected to attract over 10,000 local and international visitors to the Chippendale precinct.

Our goal is $30,000, and every dollar we raise will mean more support for BEAMS as a platform for Sydney’s incredible creative talent.

We are gathering prizes from far and wide, all sorts, anything and everything that can then be included and given a $ amount to offer to our supporters.

At the other end of the spectrum, the lucky supporter of the crowd funding campaign will benefit whether they donate $10, $100 or a $1000 or more!!!!!

Prizes currently consist of theatre & cinema tickets, copious bottles of alcohol, multiple gift packs and vouchers, incredible lunches, dinners and food vouchers from all the fabulous eateries in our precinct and the food trucks coming in on the night for BEAMS, art galore, subscriptions to magazines, fab clothing, cool stylus pens, hair makeovers, tickets to the BEAMS VIP area and After Party, an exclusive night of industry consultation with our most exciting creative thinkers in Sydney, just to mention a few.

The generosity of some is overwhelming and we encourage you to do the same, pretty please!

Last year’s festival boomed onto Sydney’s cultural calendar with a dizzying array of visual and performance artists, animators, artisans, architects, bespoke crafters, designers, production companies, creative contemplators and creative agencies.

Held in conjunction with ‘Mercedes Benz Sydney Fashion Festival’ and ‘Vogue Fashion’s Night Out’, Fashion in the Villages is a part of the fashion festivities that make up SYDNEY IS FASHION during the month of September.

The official Fashion in the Villages weekend is 20-21 September, 2014 and will be active throughout the Chippendale and other Villages, with participating stores and businesses hosting their own events, special guests, competitions, art installations and more.

All of the participating events will be listed on a dedicated website fashioninthevillages.com.au and promoted on social media outlets like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Vimeo. In addition, an advertising campaign devised and funded by the City of Sydney will promote the SYDNEY IS FASHION events.

Keen to jump on board? Who and How - What should I do?

  • Think of a special event that you can host or an activity that will make your store stand out. Decorate your windows. Let your customers know if you are planning a VIP night, a styling night, special offers or something else exciting that encourages them to come in store and view the new collections.

  • Contact our Fashion in the Villages team and ask them for ideas. Let the team know what you are planning so we can add it to the web site and our list of media opportunities. Ask us for stickers, posters, or other materials.

  • Discuss ideas with other neighbourhood shops - maybe a few can band together for an event, a competition, a prize, a photo opportunity.

  • Get interactive : with your customers, with the public, with the city. Talk to them on social media, via the press or face to face.

We will coordinate a PR campaign and are always looking for new and innovative ideas.  We will also be holding a window display competition with great prizes for storekeepers and the general public. Have your window ready to go the week before and we will plug it on our social media channels. Talk to us!
