HELP TO MAKE THIS FESTIVAL INCREDIBLE!

DONATE A PRIZE TO THE BEAMS CROWD FUNDING CAMPAIGN

BEAMS 2014 is approaching and needs your help to reach its fullest potential!

But it can’t happen without your support!

Soon we will launch a CROWD FUNDING campaign through CHUFFED.ORG to raise funds for this year's festival.

Now in its 3rd year, the program for 2014 foresees an exceptional plethora of creative individuals from far and wide with a focus on the high caliber of artistic collectiveness to fashion a street party like no other, expected to attract over 10,000 local and international visitors to the Chippendale precinct.

Our goal is $30,000, and every dollar we raise will mean more support for BEAMS as a platform for Sydney’s incredible creative talent.

We are gathering prizes from far and wide, all sorts, anything and everything that can then be included and given a $ amount to offer to our supporters.

At the other end of the spectrum, the lucky supporter of the crowd funding campaign will benefit whether they donate $10, $100 or a $1000 or more!!!!!

Prizes currently consist of theatre & cinema tickets, copious bottles of alcohol, multiple gift packs and vouchers, incredible lunches, dinners and food vouchers from all the fabulous eateries in our precinct and the food trucks coming in on the night for BEAMS, art galore, subscriptions to magazines, fab clothing, cool stylus pens, hair makeovers, tickets to the BEAMS VIP area and After Party, an exclusive night of industry consultation with our most exciting creative thinkers in Sydney, just to mention a few.

The generosity of some is overwhelming and we encourage you to do the same, pretty please!

You may wish to donate lots of $$$$$$$, the monetary kind, and expose your brand and be aligned with one of the most important festivals in Sydney. View our sponsorship document here

Last year’s festival boomed onto Sydney’s cultural calendar with a dizzying array of visual and performance artists, animators, artisans, architects, bespoke crafters, designers, production companies, creative contemplators and creative agencies.

For your generosity in supporting a community driven not for profit organisation, your LOGO will be included in all of our online collateral including a large presence in our crowd funding campaign.

We actively promote via high visibility channels across our online, print and on-site collateral, and you will be part of a viral marketing PR and social media campaign reaching a demographically broad audience in the tens of thousands, both nationally and internationally.

Your brand will be on Sydney's cultural calendar, and its equity and message will be aligned with our vision and energy.

Step 1: Watch the BEAMS 2013 wrap up video to find out what its all about, generously produced by our incredible local talent Invisible Artists

Step 2: Step 2: Get brainstorming! The ways in which you can support BEAMS are only limited by your imagination, so get creative!

Hunt, Gather & Donate to BEAMS!

SYDNEY IS FASHION
'FASHION IN THE VILLAGES' COMES TO CHIPPENDALE!

Held in conjunction with ‘Mercedes Benz Sydney Fashion Festival’ and ‘Vogue Fashion’s Night Out’, Fashion in the Villages is a part of the fashion festivities that make up SYDNEY IS FASHION during the month of September.

The official Fashion in the Villages weekend is 20-21 September, 2014 and will be active throughout the Chippendale and other Villages, with participating stores and businesses hosting their own events, special guests, competitions, art installations and more.

All of the participating events will be listed on a dedicated website fashioninthevillages.com.au and promoted on social media outlets like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Vimeo. In addition, an advertising campaign devised and funded by the City of Sydney will promote the SYDNEY IS FASHION events.

Keen to jump on board? Who and How - What should I do?

  • Think of a special event that you can host or an activity that will make your store stand out. Decorate your windows. Let your customers know if you are planning a VIP night, a styling night, special offers or something else exciting that encourages them to come in store and view the new collections.

  • Contact our Fashion in the Villages team and ask them for ideas. Let the team know what you are planning so we can add it to the web site and our list of media opportunities. Ask us for stickers, posters, or other materials.

  • Discuss ideas with other neighbourhood shops - maybe a few can band together for an event, a competition, a prize, a photo opportunity.

  • Get interactive : with your customers, with the public, with the city. Talk to them on social media, via the press or face to face.

We will coordinate a PR campaign and are always looking for new and innovative ideas.  We will also be holding a window display competition with great prizes for storekeepers and the general public. Have your window ready to go the week before and we will plug it on our social media channels. Talk to us!

Expect to see participation from local fashion stores, bookstores, cafes, libraries and more.

WEB DIRECTIONS
WITH AN EXCLUSIVE OFFER FOR CHIPPENDALE CREATIVE PRECINCT MEMBERS

Web Directions, Australia's leading event for Web, Digital and Creative Technology professionals is coming to Chippendale!

Now in its 10th year, this even which features the likes of Twitter's Global Creative Director, and World leading digital creative experts from Twitter, Facebook, Paypal, Google, as well as independent experts comes to the Seymour Centre, October 30 and 31.

Founded in Australia in 2004, by long time web industry figures Maxine Sherrin and John Allsopp, Web Directions conferences bring together the web industry’s leading experts from around the world to educate and inspire our attendees.

Our major conferences cover the full range of interests for web professionals — web design, front- end and and back- end development, information architecture, interaction design, accessibility, data visualisation and much more. Unlike many conferences, rather than calling for papers and speakers, we have a editorial approach — we put together programs based on current trends in the industry, and seek out speakers who are working in those areas to give inspiring, entertaining, but most importantly practical presentations.

But as important as the content is, conferences are also about connecting with your peers — making new connections, and strengthening existing ones, sharing know- how and expertise, finding an expert, or new clients. At Web Directions events we pay careful attention to this side of things with social events, and innovative use of social software to help build and strengthen those relationships.

If you're in the creative industry, check out the event and amazing lineup at Web Directions 2014
